MAYOR TONY BENAVIDES' 68th BIRTHDAY
Lansing Mayor Tony Benavides' Birthday celebration was a rousing success.
About 300 supporters, friends, and family joined the Mayor at his Campaign
Headquarters across from the Lansing Center. The two-hour event, which was held
May 5, 2005, included food, music, and festive dancers.

culture. It marks the day that
Mexican freedom fighters
defeated occupying French
forces at the Battle of
Pueblo in 1862. It is
celebrated annually in
Lansing and around the U.S.

Kane and about 300 others joined the
celebration, which featured food and
