After
a national search, Hammel,
Green & Abrahamson, Inc. (HGA) of Minneapolis and Duce
Simmons Associates of
Troy, Michigan, were chosen from a field of 19 applicants to produce
a preliminary study for a renovation and expansion of the Kresge
Art Museum at Michigan State University.
Kara
Hill, Ph.D. and AIA, is Project Designer with HGA,
Inc. and the principal architect designing the Kresge Art Museum
expansion. She has focused on design of cultural projects since
she received her doctorate in architecture from M.I.T. Among her
many projects are the Florida State University Concert Hall, Rochester
Art Center in Rochester, Minnesota, Como Park Education Resource
Center, and Northridge Performing Arts Center Concert Hall at
California State University.
